For the dedication of the Crowell School of Business on Friday, April 27, 2007 my experience began as I walked up to the area that had been set up for Chapel, and I heard the joyful music of the Brass Quintet from the Conservatory of Music.  The warmth of the sun shining on the assembled Guests, Faculty, Staff & Students made me think of the love God shines on us.  The flowers, the singing of the birds, the speeches Dr. Gary Miller, Dr. Cook and Mrs. Crowell gave all spoke of God's faithfulness to us, and the challenge of being Salt & Light to the world around us.  The prayers of the Mayor of La Mirada, a Biola student and one of the Business Professors made me think of the amazing ways God works in the minds and the hearts of His people.  The attendees sang "Praise the Lord, Let the Earth Hear His Voice", and it was true praise for what God has done for Biola.  The Chorale sang "In that Great Gettin' Up Mornin'", and the Lord reminded me of many of my teachers from Maranatha High School - and how they had a profound influence on my life - and many of them were Biola Gradutes.  So I write this "story" to give glory to God for Biola University, and in honor of  Biola Graduate - Jack Green - who was the Principal of Maranatha High School in the 1970's.  Thank you. (I am a current Biola Employee, and all five of my children have attended (graduating classes of 1997/2000, 2000, 2005, 2007, 2008) Biola.  Praise the Lord :)
