When I was a freshman in high school I had my heart set on Stanford.  But, my youth pastor talked up HIS alma mater soooo much that by my senior year I knew that BIOLA was the place for me.  I did BEAT day, 1999.  If I recall correctly that was November 8th, 1999.  They don't do the event any more, but it was a one day early admission where you pretty much got your answer at the end of the day.  I knew I wanted to go, so it didn't really matter that I heard yes from a school before anyone else I knew.  What mattered was I heard about THI, the Torrey Honors Institute, that day.  Just as I "suddenly" latched on to Biola, I was dead set on Torrey.  And I actually got in! Praise the Lord, for his follow through when I am faithful.  Praise the Lord, for a school that modeled for me, during some of the most difficult years of my life, what faithfulness is.
